After the “Sanlu” milk incident, all the leaders of the parks attached great importance. They have hold meeting for many times with Diary Association, dairy farms, dairy stations and the principals of dairy products processing enterprises on how to improve the quality of raw milk, how to protect the quality and safety of dairy products, and then they made the deployment seriously.

Firstly, we have strengthened the supervision on milk source, and ensure the quality of raw milk. The contract which ensures the quality of product shall be signed level by level: the dairy products processing enterprises contract with dairy farms and milk collection stations, the later two contract with dairy farmers. The unqualified raw milk should not be purchased. 150 pieces of Notification to Cow-breeding Farmers have been printed, and agreements of Responsibility of Dairy Farmers on the Quality and Safety of Raw Milk have been signed with 358 household dairy farmers. The cow-breeding farms and milk collection stations shall check for every batch on the quality of raw milk handed in by dairy farmers, and the milk which is found to have problems will be destroyed at the place it is found. We have improved service quality, strengthened the supervision and follow-up. The cow-breeding farms and milk collection stations shall strengthen on the investigation of suspicious milk, get familiar with the breeding situation of dairy farmers within the district, master the dynamic trend and report irregularities in a timely manner. Strengthen on the management of source of feed, seriously do a good job on disinfection of human, vehicles, and equipment in the farm.

Secondly, we have supervised and urged the two dairy enterprises to check the quality of raw milk in every farm and dairy station. Every batch should be checked, and the unqualified should not be purchased. At the same time, we strictly implement the dairy product processing technology and disinfection management on workshop, staff, and articles. Hold the pass on the quality strictly, and the unqualified products should not be sold.

Thirdly, we have taken active measures to stabilize the dairy farmers. The main leaders of the park have consulted with the principals of two dairy enterprises on many occasions in order to standardize the acquisition of raw milk. The two dairy companies have committed to strictly implement the agreement as regarding the purchase of raw milk. In the case of qualified raw milk, we ensure not to offer a low price and lower the grade and guarantee the interests of dairy farmers.
