Yesterday, the central China service center of Association of Taiwan Investment Enterprises on the Mainland (ATIEM) settled down in Dongxihu, which add another splendid chapter to the modern service industries of the district.

The association was founded in Beijing on April 16^th last year^.  It is a joint and nonprofit social organization founded voluntarily by the Taiwan-funded enterprises associations across the mainland, whose main body is the over one hundred of these associations across the country. It is an honorable and influential association among Taiwan businessmen with over 20,000 members in all.

So far, the Dongxihu district has introduced 20 headquarter economy projects. A vibrant eco-business town is emerging in western Wuhan.

The central China service center of ATIEM is located on the bank of Jinyin Lake, which is the base of headquarter economies and modern service industries. During the Hubei-Hong Kong-Guangdong trade fair held last month, the site of first service outsourcing industrial park in Wuhan invested by Fuxing Group, was chosen to be here. It is expected to be the biggest eco-base of international outsourcing industry of Hubei province that includes more than 1,000 outsourcing companies, with the annual output value of more than 5 billion when it is built up. In recent years, Dongxihu have always kept to build up the district with industries, three of which—food, electromechanical and logistics industries—have become pillars. The leading group of the district take a broad and long-term view to develop the high standard smokeless industry—the modern service industry in the future. Information service corporations such as Hubei Mobile and Hubei Unicom have been introduced to Dongxihu, while large group headquarters such as Sanjiang Space Group, China Communication Construction Group 2nd Navigational Engineering Bureau, Wuhan-Guangzhou Railway Company, Wuhan-Hefei Railway Company and Wuhan-Jingmen Expressway Company have settled in the district successively. An upsurge of upgrading traditional industries to modern ones is rising here.

Last year, 200 million Yuan was invested in Dongxihu district to construct Jinyinhu Wealth Building which covers an area of 44,000 square meters, establishing a platform for the settlement of headquarters economy.

For the sake of taking roots and the booming of headquarters economy, a series of modern services, including healthy habitation, leisure, tourism and so on has been launched in Jinyinhu region: the real estate giants like Vanke and Yaojiang group are contending to build massive first-class residence with high rate of afforestation but low floor area ratio; the renowned chain enterprise of furniture and building materials Jinsheng International constructed large emporium of 100,000 square meters; Union Hospital will invest 600 million Yuan to build a comprehensive and garden-like first-class hospital; Machi Commercial Street has completed its construction design of 300,000m² business area; the Polar Sea World, invested by Dalian Haichang Group with 3 billion Yuan, has begun its construction after the completion of Jinyinhu Golf Course and the Oriental Lucky Horse. In addition, Jinyinhu Park, the first "national urban wetland park" in all the capital cities and the Women and Children's Activities Center themed in "ecology, recreation and mother love" is under construction.

At the end of last year, a pool of experts gathered in Wuhan to draw a blueprint for Jinyinhu region, that is, it shall be "the leading domestic horse racing base, the unique eco-tourism destination & leisure resort in the central region, and the superior waterfront residential area & high-tech pioneering base in Wuhan". Currently, the 2^nd phase of the Oriental Lucky Horse racetrack is in its intense progress so as to meet the arrival of the sixth Wuhan International Horse-racing Festival in the coming Oct. 1 Golden Week.

Owing to its convenient location which is a thoroughfare to nine provinces, Dongxihu district rapidly became one of the most important service outsourcing bases in central China, and the "bridgehead" of Wuhan logistics. Wuhan-Ankang second railway, Wuhan-Yichang high-speed rail and other major traffic construction projects have all started in the district. Domestic and foreign modern third-party logistics enterprises are also optimistic about Dongxihu. Taiwan Darong, China Merchants Logistics Group, Changjiang Logistics Co., Ltd., UPS, Fedexs and other logistics information enterprises have settled here one after another. Bonded Logistics Center (B type), rail container hub, "International Air Logistics Port", the second category of Hubei highway ports and the electronic ports will be completed in the district. In a word, the “thorough clearance" pattern named “one center, four ports" shall be formed here. (Changjiang Daily)
