The Cihui community “Four Seasons Propitious” ecological civilized countryside renewable energy demonstrative project, supported by the Wuhan people's government, Dongxihu District people's government, uses new biomass thermal decomposition (dry distillation) complete set technology. It is organized by Cihui Community Office, and the total investment is 6,262,500 Yuan.

This project tries to make the circulation economy of energy saving and emission reduction, and uses vegetable stalk, branch, sawdust, rice husk and such farming and forestry rejects to produce alkanes dominant bio-mass combustible gas. The fuel gas, with high calorific value (3500~3800 kilocalories) and low tar content, completely conforms to the state "Artificial Coal Gas" standard requirement. It is supplied to residents for daily cooking and bath through the pipe network distribution, and has effectively solved the agricultural waste treatment and the air pollution problem in countryside.

This project is designed according to 1000 households, 300 households pipe networks have been completed at present. The yearly utilization of agricultural waste is 550 tons, reducing coal burning by 400 tons and producing the sideline products in the production process: 165 tons charcoal, 137 tons pyroligneous liquor, and 27 tons wood tar. The sideline products can be used in industry, agriculture and catering.

Not only does this project benefit the farmers directly, but also to a certain degree, gives impetus to the “two-oriented society” construction in the countryside and has a demonstrative effect.
