On August 12, the municipal party committee and municipal government held the on-the-spot conference of the whole city on agricultural recycling economy in our district, the conference gave full affirmation of the highly effective ecological cycle agricultural development pattern in our district, and required to popularize in all agriculturally-concerned districts in the city.

The conference was presided over by Zhang Xuemang, Deputy Mayor, Tu Yong, Deputy Secretary of the municipal party committee; Yan Puliu, district party secretary attended the conference; Wang Xiangwang the head of the district introduced to the conference representatives the “poultry - methane - vegetables”, “straw stalk gasification” as well as “the small lobster cultivation in rice paddy” and such highly effective ecological cycle agriculture pattern. It is reported that at present, our district has 17,800 heads cow livestock on hand, annually producing 260,000 tons excrement, urine and sewage from breeding, which may be processed and transformed into 30,000 tons bio-organic fertilizer, over 300 thousand cubic meters of methane, more than 2000 tons of edible fungus when used as the matrix, bringing additional 11 million Yuan to farmers; 50,000 tons of lignified stalk of crops may be produced yearly, which can produce 11,500,000 cubic meters of fuel gas with the biomass pyrolytic technique, supplying 30,000 households for use. Tu Yong, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee pointed out: Dongxihu District has provided precious experience and approach in the exploration of highly effective ecological cycle agricultural development pattern to the whole city, it is worth popularization in the whole city. He requested various attending departments to work out scientific plans, highlight development priorities, increase the policy guidance, choose the cycle agricultural development pattern in view of reality; foster a batch of projects of high benefits, strong driving force and competitiveness with the support of agricultural science and technology and the leading enterprises; taking this as foundation to form the cycle agriculture industry chain for the whole city. Zhang Xuemang stressed that all agriculturally-concerned districts shall lay down cycle agricultural development plans according to 4 categories and 20 patterns: Namely the countryside ecology homeland “1 pond 3 transformations” and 7 kinds renewable energy utilization like taking the methane as the link; 5 kinds of agricultural waste cycle utilization like crop straw stalk gasification; 5  kinds of agricultural waste reuse like raising chicken in the orchard of three-dimensional planting and cultivation; 3 kinds of light simplified cultivation pattern like paddy rice without plowing.
