From this year, the leftover material are purchased by nearby newly founded YZY Biological Science and Technology Co., Ltd as the raw material for extracting SHA oil-a kind of food additive that can promote brain growth and intenerate blood tissue. Yesterday, a senior managerial person showed us a bottle of DHA oil like honey and said: after reached the designed output, the annual production value will amount to 0.4 billion RMB, with its main focus on European and American markets.

    The Dongxihu district took great efforts to utilize industrial and agricultural waste materials since it has been the first trial point of China in economy cycle in 2005, which benefited a lot from it frequently.

Lees of HUARUN Beer Corporation is used as feedstuff before, but after the introduction of SUOSEN Biological Science and Technology Co., Ltd in 2006, which extracts biological protein from the lees, more than 10000 tons of lees has been digested to realize output value RMB 36 million Yuan. The key enterprise inside the district such as JIABAO Sugar Industry and Wuhan President have all implemented the clean production for meeting comprehensive utilization of waste water, waste gas and waste slag as well as zero pollution drainage.

There are 18000 cows on hand in Dongxihu district, and cow dung has become the main agricultural pollution source. 170000 tons of cow dung has been produced from Fongliugang Stockbreeding Park last year. The breeding enterprises also play their roles in treatment and utilization of cow dung: Longteng cow field established an integrated device of sewage treatment and marsh gas, with daily sewage treatment capacity 400 tons, annual marsh gas output 500m3, which can be supplied to more than 100 families; Hubei Sinochem Orient Fertilizer Co., Ltd set up a fertilizer plant to ferment and deodorize the cow dung, so as to make them into the high efficiency organic fertilizer and provide to vegetable base inside the district for planting non-pollution vegetables inside the district, and the remaining vegetable culms can be used to breed the cow, with cycle utilization during the whole process; Xin’andu Farm introduced Wuhan Liuhuan Company to breed beef-cattle, where cattle dung and urine are used to produce marsh gas, and marsh gas residue is used to plant Agaricus bisporus after treatment. The marsh gas becomes organic vegetable fertilizer, realizing the comprehensive utilization of breeding and planting.  

According to the statistics, utilization rate of industrial waste from the key enterprises of Dongxihu district reached 96% presently, that of waste stalks and cattle dung also reached 80% above. Cycle economy has produced the great ecological benefit. Energy consumption for every 10000 Yuan GDP has been decreased by 4%, drainage of main pollutants decreased by 5.72% and noise decreased by 0.9 dB. By virtue of the good environment, more than 1000 enterprises have been attracted to settle here in recent years, including 30 ones in the world top 500 and China top 500 enterprises. The financial revenue is increased by 30% continuously for many years, last year the per capita financial income was listed in the leading place in Hubei province.
