On March 27, secretary of provincial Party committee Luo Qingquan especially went to our district for investigating and studying the modern urban agriculture and stressed that: based on regionalized arrangement, scaled production and industrialized operation, Dongxihu district had energetically advanced the modern urban agriculture, and has gained obvious achievements and precious experiences; the next step is to quicken the development pace, vigorously explore the approaches to increase the peasants’ income, advance the construction of new countryside and plays an leading role in the modern urban agricultural development of Hubei.

On the day secretary of provincial Party committee Luo Qingquan visited Wuhan Bright Diary Company, stock raising park Xingangyuan and Xinyuan Grains & Oils (Wuhan) Co., Ltd accompanied by vice secretary of municipal Party committee Tu Yong, secretary of district party committee Yan Puliu and head of the district Wang Xiangwang. Luo Qingquan talked with the enterprisers and local peasants kindly wherever he went. When visiting the stock raising park Xinganyuan, Luo Qingquan walked into the family of farmer Tu Hui’an, and asked attentively whether the various policies promised by government have been realized.

The farmer Tu Hui’an (THA): House property certificate and land use certificate have been issued.
        LQQ: what about the employment?

THA: I was retired and have endowment insurance.

LQQ: how big is your original house in the village?

THA: I have a building with three storeys, two bed rooms each storey.

LQQ: How about the loss on snow disaster this year?

THA: Not very much at here.

LQQ: are you willing to move to this place?

THA: it’s more comfortable than before. It is fine, the village is worse and here is much cleaner.

LQQ: wish your family lead a happy life.

Secretary Luo Qingquan nodded with satisfaction after listening to the farmer’s reply. In the mean time, he urged the related principals of Dongxihu district that they must summarize this new mode earnestly, perfect different matched measures and policies, solve the employment problem for the peasants losing their land, vigorously explore the new approach to increase the peasants’ income, further benefit the peasants and thriven the countryside.

When visiting Bright Diary and Xinyuan Grains & Oils, Luo Qingquan got to know the production and operating conditions as well as development future of these key agricultural industrialized enterprises in detail. He pointed out that the foundation for developing modern urban agriculture in Dongxihu district is good, with powerful momentum and bright future. The next is to lead the agriculture with modern development idea, cultivate the new type peasants, try to improve agricultural mechanization and informatization level as well as land yield rate, resource utilization rate and agricultural labor productivity, further quicken the development step on the basis of summarizing the existing experiences, playing an leading role in the development of modern urban agriculture of Hubei province.
