Recently it is learnt from Dongxihu district that “Concept Planning for Boquan Town” has been finished. In the future 4 years, the district government and China Sanjiang Aerospace Group will jointly create Wuhan Central Entertainment District (CED) at Boquan area, forming the capital vice center.
As the planning core, the old Boquan town is oriented as Chu-Han charming tourism area, and the local cultural and historical scenic spots such as Jingde Temple, old Boquan Well and Catholic Church will be planned for construction. High-end commercial, entertainment and sight-seeing agricultural projects around will be developed in supplement, also the forest park, birds protection area, wetland park and wetland protection area shall be set up, which jointly form the CED, integrating the public entertainment, high-grade clubs, tourism and sight-seeing as a whole, forming the “Bo’ao of Wuhan”. CED is closely adjacent to Wuhan Tianhe International Airport and Wuhan Railway Station, with a distance only taking half an hour to the urban CBD. It is expected to form a tourism pattern of “one river and two wings” (one river refers to the Riverbank Park, two wings refer to East Lake and Boquan), and become a tourism terminal for Wuhan of Hubei.
Boquan Farm is located at the suburb of northwest part of Wuhan, with area 78km2, 52 villages and over 2400 farmers. Sanjiang Aerospace Group plans to invest RMB 1.35 billion Yuan to carry out overall planning for the farm, and develop the three industrial sectors such as Boquan urban agriculture, ecological industry and recreational tourism industry to create a kind of ecology with integrated urban and village, harmonious human and nature, so as to realize the pattern of common win of government, farmer and enterprise. The project is praised as “Boquan mode” and predicated to finish during “the 11th Five-year Plan”.
